Pápež veriacich upozornil, že takéto nezodpovedné správanie by mohlo svätých vtiahnuť do konfliktu. Podľa neho, ak Putin zaútočí aj na sväté bytosti (podľa televízie RT má zbrane, ktorými by to mohol urobiť – pozn. r.), už sa nebude ku komu modliť.
