Práve preto pri krádežiach do 700 eur by mal páchateľ dostať od súdu pochvalu a štát by mu mal doplatiť čiastku, ktorá mu chýbala do 35-tisíc eur. Páchateľ totiž mohol beztrestne ukradnúť až toľko, no rozhodol sa byť čestný a ukradol menej než 700 eur. Za to by mu mala patriť pochvala a odmena.
Podľa Roberta Fica by krádež do výšky 35-tisíc eur nemala byť trestaná vôbec, pretože podľa neho by nikto nemal byť zavretý za hodnotu “bežného týždenného príjmu”.
